"Orientalist is a strategic profession"

On May 25, 2021 at 14:00 Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, famous orientalist Aldabek Nurzhamal Abdrazakovna held an online lecture on the topic "Actual problems of oriental studies in independent Kazakhstan." This lecture was organized as part of the traditional Leadership Lecture event held by our faculty.

Nurzhamal Abdrazakovna, a scientist who stood at the origins of the formation of oriental studies in the country, which was directly involved in the creation of our faculty and led it for many years. During the lecture, the issues of the formation and development of oriental studies, including in Kazakhstan, were raised. In addition to students, undergraduates and doctoral students of our faculty, the lecture was attended by leading scientists, employees of universities and research institutes.
