Scientific school established by Professor R.S. Amir, Doctor of philological sciences

On October 26, 2021, the Department of Kazakh Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held a scientific workshop on the topic: “The Scientific School established by Professor R.S. Amir, Doctor of Philological Sciences».

The event was moderated by Salkynbai A., the head of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics, Candidate of Philological Sciences . This workshop was devoted to the anniversary of the scholar’s end . The professors of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Sh. Bekmagambetov, Professor of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Zh. Dauletbekova, Professor of Kazakh British University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, T. Ermekova, Professor of Kazakh State Women’s Pedagogical University, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor Amir’s daughter, Professor С. Е. Batyrbekova , the relative of the scholar, Doctor of Chemical Sciences took part in the workshop. During the workshop the faculty scholars presented their reports. G. Imanalieva, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor told about the role and significance of R.S. Amir’s pedagogical heritage in education. The report made by L. Alimtaeva,  Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor was dedicated to Professor Amir’s image as a teacher and the role of pedagogical skills in conducting practical language lessons. Professor R. Avakova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, the scholar’s students: Zh. Dauletbekova, Т. Ermekova, Professor Sh. Bekmagambetov said many warm words about their teacher, having called him a versatile person. They also mentioned his human and professional qualities. According to his daughter’s words R.S. Amir studied not only modern Kazakh language, but also showed a scientific interest in the issues of Turkology. Е. Batyrbekova told about the scholar’s parents and the people among who he grew up. Thanks to them Professor R.S. Amir became an outstanding scholar and educator.
