«Layered teaching: how to develop language and the mind»

        On February 2022, at 15.00 p.m. on ZOOM platform Professor Chris Korten delivered the lecture on the topic: “Layered teaching: how to develop language and the mind”. The lecture was delivered for the teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology. The lecture included some elements of discussion that made it very lively and interesting.

     The lecture was devoted to the teaching techniques which can be used in the foreign language classroom for students of non-linguistic specialties.   Based on the example of one practical task he demonstrated how a teacher can develop language and critical thinking skill of leaners and arouse their interest in learning foreign languages. During the lecture Prof. Korten asked the audience the questions and made comments on each point touched upon at the discussion.

At the end of the lecture the teachers expressed the words of gratitude to Prof. Korten for very informative and useful teaching material.
