The students’ conference “For a nuclear–free world”. Twenty Years of Closing of Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site” was held. The conference was organized by Suleimenova G.S., associate Professor and Karipbayeva G.A., senior teacher (The Chair of Diplomatic Translation). Arynov Zhanibek, Kopabayev Dauren, the students of the 4th course, International Relations Department (the Kazakh group) were the moderators of the conference The conference was opened by the dean of the faculty of international relations,Doctor of Sciences(law) professor Shakirov K.N and Suleimenova G.S. The 1st report was made by Karipbayeva G.A., senior teacher of the Chair of Diplomatic Translation “Polygon by the eyes of the witness”.

Reports on the following topics were made by the students of the 2nd course of the faculty of international relations:”Nuclear weapons are the weapons of mass destruction” (history of formation, development, etc.).”The first nuclear explosions on the Earth” (USA, Japan, etc.)..”Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site “(formation history, explosions).”Semipalatinsk Nuclear Test Site” (arrangement and formation of launching field, the first explosion, environmental & health damage)..”International Antinuclear Movement “Nevada-Semey” (Formation history, three Congresses of Global Alliance). .”Semipalatinsk: From Nuclear Testing Site to Test Ban Treaty Support. Central Asian Nuclear Weapons Free Zone.” China is the member of the world nuclear club”. North Korea and its nuclear potential.“ World’s Forum “For a nuclear– free world”.
