MEETING OF THE NATIONAL COMMISSION OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN FOR UNESCO AND ISESCO

On April 4, 2023 the UN Office in Almaty hosted a meeting of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO with the participation of the State Adviser of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karin E.T.

        At the thematic meeting on the assessment of the implementation of the UNESCO Medium-Term Strategy in Kazakhstan, reports were heard by the Secretary General of the National Commission, A. Baysabayeva, and the Director of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Temenov.

       Experts of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO in the fields of education - V. Shakhgulari; natural sciences, information and communication – R.Muzafarov; social sciences – A. Nauryzbayeva; culture – E. Imambek spoke on issues of cooperation with UNESCO.

     The meeting was attended by the heads of the "UNESCO Сhair in Sustainable Development" Bazarbayeva T.A. and "UNESCO Chair in Journalism and Communication" Shyngysova N.T.

     Experts in their reports also gave positive assessments to the work of the UNESCO Chair of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
