Rector of KazNU visited the University of Tokyo

Chairman of the Board - Rector of  Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev during his working trip to Japan met with the President of Tokyo University of Foreign Languages Hayashi Kaeko.

The sides discussed the issues of strengthening bilateral relations.

At the meeting Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted that the partnership between KazNU and Tokyo University of Foreign Languages is dynamically developing. Also in his speech, the rector emphasized that in the future it is necessary to intensify relations in the field of science and education.

Al-Farabi KazNU cooperates with 28 universities in Japan. Today the program of academic mobility is actively developing with these universities. Thus, in 2022-2023, 56 students of KazNU underwent internship in universities of Japan. Also 15 teachers took part in scientific conferences to improve their skills.  Currently, 19 students of the University of Tsukuba are studying at the institution.

In turn, the president of Tokyo University of Foreign Languages Hayashi Kaeko said: "We will maintain close relations with KazNU and are ready to further increase partnership.
