Implementation of sustainable development goals (SDG) in classes in the discipline "General Chemical Technology" for students of the specialty "Pharmaceutical Production Technology" at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University

Within the framework of the program for sustainable development goals (SDG-s) implemented in our republic, a lecture was held for 3-rd year students of the specialty “Pharmaceutical Production Technology” in the discipline “General Chemical Technology” on the topics: “The role of water in the chemical industry. Industrial water treatment. Methods of water purification. Clean water and sanitation" (SDG –6)" and "Energy problems in the chemical industry, ways to solve them. Affordable and clean energy (SDG – 7).” The purpose of the lesson was to give students an idea of ​​the problems in the field of industrial water and energy consumption technology and to identify ways to solve them in modern conditions. The emphasis was directed towards resource saving and rational consumption of water and energy, and the involvement of secondary water and energy resources in the processing. Students take an active part in discussing the tasks set in the designated SDG-s and offered their vision for solving them, based on knowledge in the field of chemical technology. The lecture was given by associate professor of the department of physical chemistry, catalysis and petrochemistry of Al-Farabi KazNU Tashmukhambetova Zh.Kh.
