Students of KazNU took the 2nd place in chess
At the ІІ Turkic Universiade held in Turkestan city, the national team of students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took the 2nd place in chess.
The team consisted of Shauken Aruzhan, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health, Artemyeva Diana, a 2nd year student of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, and Shudabai Almas from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. In individual competition Shauken Aruzhan and Amanzhol Sultan took 2nd place.
In the future, KazNU athletes will compete in such sports as volleyball, judo and table tennis.
In total, about 500 student-athletes from the countries of the Organization of Turkic States - Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan - are taking part in the II Turkic Universiade.
