International Scientific and theoretical conference «Methodological foundations of the study of Kazakh philosophy»

The international scientific and theoretical conference «Methodological foundations of the study of Kazakh philosophy» dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, public figure, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Amanzhol Kasabekuly and the Day of Philosophy was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of the «Amanzhol Kasabek readings".

Opening the meeting, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University Lyazzat Yerkinbayeva noted: «Amanzhol Kasabek is a scientist who has made great efforts to determine the methods of studying the history of Kazakh philosophy, its origin and main stages of development, philosophical problems of cognition of a new type of thinking. The legacy of the scientist who defined the very meaning of our national philosophy and laid the foundation for expanding its space is very relevant today and, obviously, will not lose its significance in the future».

The works of the scientist, who worked for many years at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, are aimed at substantiating the need to increase the importance of spiritual life in the development of society. The outstanding scientist was engaged in the study of the most pressing problems of philosophy in the research direction. Under his leadership, more than 30 candidates of sciences and 8 doctors of sciences in the field of philosophy have been trained, a scientific school has been formed.

At the scientific meeting of philosophers, socio-methodological problems, multilateral aspects of the study of Kazakh philosophy in quality education were discussed, theoretical types of general philosophical thought were classified. In addition, the participants shared their memories of the personality and creative personality of the scientist-philosopher Amanzhol Kasabek.

During the meeting, the presentation of the book by Academician of the Academy of Social Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amanzhol Kasabek «Gibratty gumyr», describing the life path and invaluable contribution to education, science, took place.
