Guest lecture by a professor from Uzbekistan

On October 24, 2023, the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi hosted a guest lecture by Kholbekov Abdugani Zhumanazarovich, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Sociology of the National University of Uzbekistan named after M.Ulugbek.

The lecturer touched upon the issues of cooperation between the Central Asian countries in the development of areas underlying the achievement of Sustainable development goals: education, health, economic employment, tourism, manufacturing, etc. The processes of social change at the present stage, the history and prospects of the development of sociological science in cooperation between Central Asian countries, as well as between the Departments of «Sociology and Social Work» of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and the Department of «Sociology» of the National University of Uzbekistan were also discussed. Of particular interest among the present faculty, doctoral students and undergraduates was the experience of the creation and functioning of research centers in Uzbekistan.
