On December 4, 2023, a scientific and methodological foresight session "PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL AND PROBLEMS OF EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL COMPLEXES OF MODERN MUSEOLOGY" was held: NEW CONCLUSIONS AND DIRECTIONS", organized by the Humanities section of the educational and Methodological Association of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology and Museology of the Faculty of History.

At the Foresight session, the problems of the current state of the specialty "Museum business and monument protection" and the training of qualified specialists were considered. Moderators of the Foresight session, Dean of the Faculty of History D. S. Baigunakov and Scientific Secretary of the Republican Educational and Methodological Association of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University A.S. Syrgakbayev noted that the problem is very relevant today.

Head of the Department "Museum Business and Intangible Cultural Heritage" of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan G.A.Fazylova made a report on the topic "Current problems of museum business and intangible cultural heritage", Head of the Department of Archaeology, Ethnology and Museology B.K. Kalshabayeva made a report on the topic "The potential of museum business at the present stage and new approaches and suggestions in the development of educational programs and educational and methodological complexes", Director of the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan R.E. Kharipova made a report: "The need for qualified personnel in the field of museum business: problems and solutions", museologist Nurserik Zholbarys made a report "Problems of staffing museums in Kazakhstan". The Foresight session was attended by the heads and staff of many museums in Kazakhstan, who discussed topical issues in the field of museum business, including personnel training.
