The international scientific conference: "Taraz Studies and tendencies in the development of Kazakh literature" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Kazakh National University of Arts, writer, playwright, screenwriter Akim Tarazi

The international scientific conference "Taraz Studies and tendencies in the development of Kazakh literature" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Kazakh National University of Arts, writer, playwright, screenwriter Akim Tarazi was held at the Faculty of Philology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The conference was organized by the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature by the initiative of the head of the department, Doctor of Philology, Professor Temirbolat Alua Berikbaykyzy, Deputy head of the department, PhD Dautova Gulnaz Rahimovna, senior curator of the Department, Candidate of Philological Sciences Karbozov Yerkhan Karbozovich.
The foreign scientists, Professor of Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University, Doctor of Philology Cemile Kinaci Baran, Professor of Sytki Kochman Mugla University, Doctor of Philology Kenan Koch, Associate Professor of Gulistan State University, PhD Orazov Bagdat, as well as Kazakhstani  scientists, such as Professor of  Al-Farabi Kazakh National University,  Abdimanuly Omirkhan (moderator of the conference), Senior Researcher of M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, Doctor of Philology,  Akysh Nurdaulet Babikhanuly, Professor of Zhetysu University, Doctor of Philology,  Imangazinov Muratbek, Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Philology,  Yerzhanova Saule Baymyrzaevna,  the Head of the Department of Philology at Alikhan Bokeikhan University, PhD Mursalim Gulnur Orazbekovna, Associate Professor of Abai Research Institute at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Philology,  Musaly Leila Zhumataevna,  the senior lecturer of  al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Philological Sciences,  Soltanayeva Yerkingul Molotovna and others made the reports at the plenary conference session .
During the conference  the  various aspects of Akim Tarazi's work, the level of  the study of his literary heritage abroad, the artistic originality of his dramatic works,  the translations of his works into other languages and  his teaching activity were discussed.  There was an  exhibition organized by the staff of the Al-Farabi Scientific Library, which presented the works  by  Akim Tarazi and research on his work.
