SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS AS AN AGENDA FOR INDEPENDENT WORK OF STUDENTS UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF A TEACHER AT THE DEPARTMENT OF WORLD HISTORY, HISTORIOGRAPHY AND SOURCE STUDIES OF AL–FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

On December 2, 2023, in the study group of 3rd year students in the specialty "6B03208 – Digital Archival Science and Documentation", the results of independent work of students under the guidance of a teacher (SRSP) on sustainable development (SD) were summarized in a discussion form.

The students noted that in 2015, the United Nations (UN) presented an official document entitled "Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development", which includes 17 global directions supported by the world community aimed at improving the well-being of mankind and protecting planet Earth.

During the discussion, the students noted that in the conditions of the modern turbulent state of the human community, measures to eliminate poverty, various types of inequality (gender, information, etc.) should be taken by each of the citizens of the planet in parallel with efforts to increase economic growth and address a number of issues in the field of education, health, social protection and employment, and also the fight against climate change and environmental protection.

To the question "What can I do?" In each of the 17 areas, students have developed a firm position on participating in awareness-raising processes about the impact of poverty, low education, health, and digital inequality on the future of new generations.

They emphasized that for our country and the world, it is extremely important to preserve the digital cultural heritage of Kazakhs and other peoples living in our republic, the introduction of innovative approaches in science and education to make transformative changes in people's lives, related to their future specialty.
