Digitalization and responsible investment in the business as trends of sustainable development in Kazakhstan

It is well known that all countries implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals to improve the well-being of people worldwide and enhance the protection of our planet. In this regard, Ph.D., senior lecturer of the Department of Economics Rakhmatullayeva Dinara, within the discipline «Entrepreneurship» for the students of the 1st year «Economics» and «Digital Economy» held a practice-oriented lecture on «Digitalization and responsible investment in the business as trends of sustainable development in Kazakhstan», timed to SDG 4, SDG 9 "Create sustainable infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and stimulate innovation." According to SDG 9, small and medium-sized enterprises (about 90% globally) are the most important factor in the country's industrialization development and create new jobs (up to 60% globally). Their development and support require quality basic infrastructure, cheap financing, and reliable logistics. To this end, the lecturer emphasized to the students the conditions necessary to develop a quality business and investment environment for SMEs and increase their profitability in various economic spheres of the country. The students actively participated, and they were able to demonstrate their creativity and economic knowledge. At the end of the lecture, for the purpose of sponsorship on behalf of the lecturer and alumni of Al-Farabi KazNU 1997, 5 students were awarded special certificates and received scholarships in the amount of 30,000 tenge.
