In KazNU discussed the progress of preparation for the 90th anniversary of KazNU

A regular meeting of the Academic Council was held in Al-Farabi KazNU. It discussed the issues of preparation for the 90th anniversary of the university, approval of the new logo of the university and other relevant topics.

Member of the Board - vice-rector for social development of KazNU Sabit Suatai, who made a report on the preparation for the 90th anniversary of the university, noted that the planned activities will be carried out in three stages.

"The first stage - the grand opening of the 90th anniversary will be held on January 15 this year, also at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology the opening of the scientific laboratory will take place. At the second stage throughout 2024, monthly events will be held at the university and faculties. At the third stage will be summarized and analyzed the completed tasks and plans of events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of KazNU," - said the vice-rector. He also noted that the construction of three dormitories, academic buildings, major repairs of the Palace of Students named after U. Joldasbekov and completion of repair work in the fall of this year is planned within the 90th anniversary.

In turn, the corporate secretary of the Board of Directors of KazNU Karlygash Useinova made a report on the approval of the new logo of the university. She noted that in November 2023 Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi announced a competition to update the logo. Al-Farabi was announced a competition to update the logo, which was attended by more than 80 candidates. As a result, the best project recognized by the members of the commission was presented to the Academic Council. Based on an open vote of all members of the Academic Council, the decision was made and the updated logo of KazNU was approved.
