School for emerging scholars, themed «Sociology and Social Work: Theoretical and Practical Dimensions of Research»

On January 18-19, 2024, the Department of Sociology and Social work of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science organized the International Winter School for emerging scholars, themed «Sociology and Social Work: Theoretical and Practical Dimensions of Research», in commemoration of the university's 90th anniversary and its role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). al-Farabi Kazakh National University evaluates its impact on the SDGs by fortifying international collaborations, fostering synergy among individuals and projects, cultivating professional communities, and championing innovative initiatives. This includes both foundational and applied research endeavors in the fields of sociology and social work.
