On January 30, 2024, thr senior lecturer of the Faculty of Philology of Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, adviser Alpysbaeva Aigul Yerbolatovna held a discussion on the topic "Clean water and sanitation" – "Water is the source of life" within the sustainable development strategy in dormitory No. 17. They students and the teacher discussed the problem, which was voiced by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov at a Government meeting. "Now more than 600 thousand people in the country demand a solution to the issue of clean drinking water. Even in the capital, water shortages began to be felt very strongly. At the same time, saving water becomes an important issue. Unfortunately, many of our citizens do not want to save water. To solve this issue, it is necessary to digitalize the industry and introduce effective tariffs”. The students also expressed their thoughts on saving and not polluting water. They prepared posters and shared their opinions on the topic.
