Issues of state regulation of economy were discussed in KazNU

Al-Farabi KazNU hosted a scientific and practical round table "State regulation in geo-economic conditions of sustainable economy" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Professor, Doctor of Economic Sciences Yerzhan Baigujaevich Zhatkanbaev.

The event was attended by scientists and practitioners from Kazakhstan, as well as international experts from Finland, Russia and Uzbekistan, teachers, students, masters, doctoral students and others.

The congratulatory letter of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebaev was read out by the member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities Zhamila Aitzhanova. Congratulating Professor Yerzhan Baigujaevich Zhatkanbaev on his 80th anniversary, the head of the university emphasized the merits of the famous scientist-economist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences Higher School of Kazakhstan. He founded a scientific school on the formation of a mixed economy and the theory of state regulation, released more than 300 scientific papers. Under the guidance of Professor Yerzhan Zhatkanbayev young scientists defended 4 doctoral, 36 candidate, received 6 scientific degrees PhD. "Honest and noble work of the jubilee was marked by numerous awards, including the title "The best teacher of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the medal "For merits in the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan", - said in the congratulatory letter.

Within the framework of the event, Yerzhan Zhatkanbaev was awarded the Order of the Association of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the round table meeting the reports were made by: Dr. E.Sc., Professor, Rector of Turan University Rahman Alshanov, Dr. E.Sc., member of the Constitutional Court of the RK Aizhan Zhatkanbaeva, Dr. E.Sc., Professor, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of KSU named after A.Baiturunov Sansyzbay Zhientaev and others.

The participants discussed a number of topical problems of state regulation in the context of the main trends of development and modernization of the economy in the context of new challenges of sustainable economy, as well as national interests of public administration development in the context of modern global processes.

Within the framework of the round table there was an exhibition of scientific works of Professor Yerzhan Baigujaevich Zhatkanbaev.

The event was organized by the Management Department of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
