KazNU hosted a seminar for editors of scientific journals

In the library of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi the editors of scientific journals of KazNU met with the head of the laboratory of scientometrics of the Ural Federal University named after the first president of Russia B.N.Yeltsin, an expert of the World Bank Mark Akoyev.

At the seminar Mark Anatolievich presented his book on scientometrics "Guide to scientometrics: indicators of science and technology development". The expert shared his knowledge and experience on scientometric and bibliometric indicators and information on how they can help to support the publication activity of scientific journals.

The meeting discussed issues of promoting scientific journals in international databases, as well as increasing their recognizability and citation. The speaker showed on the example of one journal of the Ural Federal University what steps have been taken to promote the journal in international databases.

At the end of the workshop, participants were able to ask questions and share their ideas on the development of scientific journals.
