A Persian-Kazakh dictionary was presented in KazNU

The presentation of "Persian-Kazakh phraseological dictionary" published within the framework of the 90th anniversary of the university took place at the Department of Middle East and South Asia of Al-Farabi KazNU.

The "Persian-Kazakh Phraseological Dictionary", published for the first time, includes proverbs, winged phrases, expressions relating to the formula of politeness and words of gratitude, scolding, applause, admiration. Also included are stable phrases that are frequently used in Persian.

"Persian-Kazakh Phraseological Dictionary" is intended for readers who speak both Persian and Kazakh languages, as well as those studying Persian, experts in phraseology and all readers interested in this topic. It is an indispensable textbook for Persian language learners and specialists working in the field of Iranian studies.

"Persian-Kazakh Phraseological Dictionary" is compiled by teachers of the Iranian Studies Department of the Middle East and South Asia Department Aiman Boranbaeva, Gayni Zhumadilova and Galiya Kambarbekova.

The event was attended by Natalia Yem, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Dariga Kokeeva, Head of the Middle East and South Asia Department, Husein Aghazadeh, Head of the Representative Office of the IRI Cultural Centre in Almaty, Dr F. Shakiba, guest lecturer, Islam Zhemenei, Director of the "Turan-Iran" Research Centre, Toreali Kydyr, Deputy Director of the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, and many Iranists, orientalists, teachers and students.

At the end of the presentation, the researchers exchanged opinions about the new valuable publication and answered questions. The authors of the dictionary shared their plans to publish monographs and textbooks related to the field of Iranian studies.
