"Zhambyl Week" started today in Al- Farabi KazNU. The literary and cultural event dedicated to the 178th anniversary of the poet Zhambyl is held in accordance with the educational and methodological plan approved by the dean of the philological faculty, professor B.U. Zholdasbekova.
On the eve of the grand opening of the week, a traveling exhibition of the memorial museums of poets Suiinbai, Zhambyl and Umbetali Karibayev of Almaty region was held in the lobby of the faculty, and the teachers and the students of the university got acquainted with personal relics of poets.
The audience was interested in the Holtum drums and the household items of three poets created in the 30s and 40s of the last century.
The exhibition of poets was presented by the director of the Suiinbai Aronov Museum, Ayauzhan Saduakhasov, the director of Zhambyl Zhabaeva Museum, Saltanat Zhambylova and the director of Umbetali Karibaeva Museum, Auelbek Yskakov, the poet's grandson.
Then literary and educational evening on the topic "People - my real name" continued the opening week of the event in M. Auezov assembly hall
During the evening, the Dean of the Faculty of History, candidate of historucal sciences, Dosball Baikonakov and the First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, Nurzhan Kuantayuly made a speech and congratulated the event participants and the faculty members on the solemn opening of Zhambyl Week.
In addition, Doctor of Philology, Professor, the Secretary of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, Kanseit Abdezuli, the writer, the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Nagashibek Kapalbekuly, Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor, Almasbek Maulenov and other scholars made reports and told about the history of Suiyinbai School of Poetry.
The evening ended with singing.
The Faculty of Philology, the Zhambyl Philological Scientific Center and the Zhambyl Literary and Memorial Museum were the main organizers of the week dedicated to Zhyr giant.
This literary and cultural event was jeld within the framework of celebrating the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU. "Zhambyl Week" will last until February 28.
