32 best teachers of KazNU were awarded in Turkestan

Today, on the Day of Gratitude, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the contests "The Best Researcher-2023" and "The Best Teacher of the University-2023" took place. The winners included 32 teachers of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, as well as intellectuals, public, prominent cultural figures, rectors of higher education institutions, scientists and teachers, heads of the education system, doctoral students, masters and students.
In his welcoming speech, Minister Sayasat Nurbek, awarding all the winners, noted the great contribution of teachers and scientists to the development of education and national science. Special attention was paid to the projects of Kazakhstani scientists, digitalization of higher education system.

"On the first day of spring, on the bright holiday of the Day of Gratitude, we have gathered you in the sacred city of Turkestan in order, first of all, to express gratitude from the entire Ministry for your work, contribution to the development of education and science of Kazakhstan. Our scientists work every day for the benefit of national science, develop projects and achieve excellent results, which cannot but please the people of Kazakhstan. Our task is to return the trust of the people in science, scientists and, in general, the system of higher education. Small, but true steps, we are going to this. Thus, within 1-2 months the bill "On Science and Technology Policy" will come into force. Also in April, a meeting of the National Council on Science and Technology under the President and a large scientific exhibition will be held. Today you are our pride, so the work on popularization of your works we will continue and strengthen", - said Sayasat Nurbek.
A total of 768 teachers took part in the contest. Of them, 150 were recognized as the best. The winners received a prize of 2,000 MRP each.
The criteria for selection and evaluation were the following indicators: development and publication of electronic teaching resources, materials, scientific publications in national and international journals, patents for invention and others.
