Current problems of ethnology, anthropology, and museology in the Eurasia: traditions and innovations

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of History invites you on March 30, 2024 to an international scientific and practical conference on the topic: “Current problems of ethnology, anthropology, and museology in the Eurasia: traditions and innovations” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences at the Higher School of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Kalysh Amanzhol Boranbayuly.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss current and fundamental problems of traditional and modern ethnology and anthropology of the Kazakhs and other ethnic groups of Kazakhstan and Eurasia in the past and present, as well as the contribution of A.B. Kalysh in the development of domestic ethnology and historical local history of the republic.

Conference topics:

  1.  Current problems of ethnic history, ethnocultural and ethnodemographic processes.
  2.  Anthropology of the Family, Marriage and Divorce.
  3.  The life activity system of an ethnic group: past and present.
  4.  Important aspects of diaspora and ethnic repatriation.
  5.  Ethnoarchaeology, Museology and Historical local history.

The working languages of the conference are Kazakh, other Turkic languages, Russian and English.

The conference will be attended by leading Kazakhstani and foreign scientists, researchers, teachers of higher educational institutions, young researchers, doctoral students, undergraduates and media representatives.
