Kazakhs introduce robotics to the world
Under the guidance of teachers of the Department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of KazNU Bekzat Amanov, Berik Sagitzhanov, doctoral student of the educational program Zangar Rakhmatulla and graduates of the department S. Tulenov, E. Zholdasov, M. Smamkozhaev, talented students of schools in Almaty are preparing for international level championships in robotics. The goal is to show the world the robotics industry of Kazakhstan and rise to the podium of victory.
The team represented Kazakhstan at the Robotics competition FIRST Tech Challenge IFR Nusantara Regional in Depok, Indonesia. Team "124", formed from students of 6-11 grades of schools-lyceums №124, №119 of Almaty, Zaman took the 1st place in the qualifying stage of individual teams of the competition FIRST Tech Challenge IFR Nusantara Regional. The individual number of our team is 23088, as shown in the table below. 30 teams from five countries took part in the competition. Almaty schoolchildren together with 150 young roboticists from Southeast Asian countries received seven awards: Control Award (1st place), Think Award (3rd place), Removing Engineering Barriers with Creative Thinking, Connect Award (3rd place).
Kazakhstan's national team also took part in The Goa International Robotics Festival, an international open championship held in India, where 220 teams competed. One of the teams representing the country is the "Qazaq Style" team, prepared by teachers of the Department of Mechanics.

According to the results of the three-day championship, the piggy bank of the national team "Qazaq style" was replenished with six high awards in three age categories. Among them, the 1st place in the category FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) at the age of 12 to 18 years took the team "Inspire award 1st runner up" - "Qazaq style".
