Expert Dialogue on Global Challenges: "Modern Global Challenges and Strategic Priorities" Section Marks Faculty's 75th Anniversary

As part of the 75th anniversary celebration of the faculty at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a thought-provoking section titled "Modern Global Challenges and Strategic Priorities" convened. This intellectually stimulating event, which took place on April 8, attracted prominent experts and scholars from diverse nations, featuring esteemed speakers: David Celetti PhD, Professor of the Padua University, Padua, Italy; Makpal Bekturganova – PhD, Institute of Economics of the Science Committee of the MSHE RK, Leading Researcher; Katarzyna Cherewac-Filipowicz PhD, Professor, Bialystok Polytechnic University, Bialystok, Poland; Kangalakova Dana Muratbekovna – PhD, Institute of Economics of the Science Committee of the MSHE RK, Leading Researcher; Abdigappar Koilybai - Financial Director/Director of the Department of Financial and Contractual Work, Center for the Development of Creative Industries "Almaty Creative"; Dinara Rakhmatullayeva – PhD, senior lecturer of the Economics Department.

The speakers shared their groundbreaking research findings and expert insights on pivotal facets of contemporary economic challenges and priorities, with a strong emphasis on devising sustainable development strategies (SDG 4, SDG 17). Discussions encompassed a wide array of topics, including the spatial distribution of enterprises, economic resilience, urbanization, energy efficiency, gender disparities in the scientific realm, and the transformative role of creative industries in advancing sustainable development goals.

The resolution of the section underscores the imperative for continued research advancement and the implementation of pragmatic solutions to effectively address modern challenges. It also advocates for enhanced collaboration between academics, practitioners, and broader society in this crucial endeavor. Furthermore, the section's deliberations resulted in an agreement to further bolster collaboration with the University of Padua, signifying a commitment to fostering international partnerships in pursuit of shared objectives.
