Fandoms for accepting plastic bottles are installed in KazNU

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University installed 2 automatic machines to accept plastic bottles and aluminum cans. These machines have been placed on campus as part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal No. 12 "Ensure transition to sustainable consumption and production patterns".

These machines have been placed on campus as part of Sustainable Development Goal #12 "Ensure a transition to sustainable consumption and production patterns." Fandoms are installed near the rectorate and in the student service center "Keremet."

Today, the state pays great attention to the issues of utilization and recycling of recyclable materials. In this regard, the President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, in his speech at the World Climate Summit, emphasized, "The new Environmental Code of Kazakhstan will promote the comprehensive adaptation of green technologies in virtually every sector of the national economy. Our country has a huge potential for the development of wind and solar energy, as well as for the production of 'green' hydrogen." We will continue to work closely with our partners to unlock this potential. We also actively support private green initiatives. For example, the Kazakhstan Plastic Association is working on projects to get rid of plastic waste, contributing to environmental protection.

The machine accepts bottles and cans up to 2 liters in volume, without liquid. For each container handed over there is an opportunity to get ecobonuses, which can be accumulated and exchanged for various promotions and offers from partners.

The collected packaging is sent to recycling plants where it is further processed and used in the production of new packaging, clothes, shoes, furniture, building materials and other products. Together we take care of our planet and make the world cleaner and greener!
