Akhmetov Berik Bakytzhanovich
Rector of the Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering named after. Sh. Yesenova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Academician of the International Academy of Informatization.
Akhmetov Berik Bakytzhanovich was born in 1985.
Graduated from KazNU named after. al-Farabi with a degree in Information Systems, postgraduate studies at the Department of Information Systems of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. In 2010 he defended his PhD thesis in specialty 05.13.01 - System analysis, management and information processing.
In 2006-2013 worked at the Department of Information Systems of this university as a teacher, senior lecturer, and associate professor. In 2011-2013 - headed the educational process department, later the educational and methodological department. In 2013-2017 held the position of vice-president for educational and methodological work of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after. HA. Yassavi.
Completed internships and advanced training courses abroad: internships at the University of Pierre Mendes (France), Alecante university (Spain) (2010-2011); postdoctoral program at Carlvon Ossietzky Universitat Oldenburg (Germany) (2011-2012); advanced training courses at the Center for Research in Higher Education at the University of California, Berkeley (USA); courses for heads of higher education institutions in England at Regent's university London, University of Oxford, university of Cambridge, Brunel university (2014); programs to improve the qualifications of managers of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan at the Nazarbayev University & Leadership foundation (2014).
The area of scientific interests is related to issues of information security, cybersecurity and biometric-neural network technologies for information protection. He is the author of 7 monographs and more than 50 articles, 11 of which are indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, winner of a national scholarship for talented young scientists (2012-2014).
Since his appointment as rector of KSUTI. Sh. Yesenova in September 2017 B.B. Akhmetov initiated the preparation of strategic plans that define the values of the university during integration into the global scientific and educational space in order to obtain high achievements in the context of the ongoing processes in the country to provide universities with academic and managerial autonomy.
