KazNU held courses on the development of library technologies

IRBIS School is held in Farabi Library.  Within the framework of the school, practical and informational courses on IRBIS system technologies were held for catalogers, compilers, IT specialists and employees of library services departments.

The organizers were: the Association of Libraries of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the company "AVDiKazakhstan".

The event was attended by 35 employees of libraries of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, in particular, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, Kazakh-German University, West Kazakhstan State University named after M.Utemisov, Kazakh National University of Art.

During the sessions AVID Kazakhstan experts informed the participants about new technologies and solutions for automation of work processes and expansion of digital services of libraries.

The participants also discussed the existing problems of integration and adaptation to the specific needs of the university.
