XVI Republican Student Subject Olympiad (here in after RSSO) within the framework of the EP " 6B04103 - Economics" in the subjects " Economic Theory", "Microeconomics", "Macroeconomics", "Enterprise Economics"

On April 24, 2024, the Department " Economics" of the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted participants of the II stage of the XVI Republican Student Subject Olympiad (here in after RSSO) within the framework of the EP " 6B04103 - Economics"  in the subjects " Economic Theory", "Microeconomics", "Macroeconomics", "Enterprise Economics" among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Republican Olympiad aroused great interest among the country's universities, as evidenced by the geography of its participating cities: Almaty, Aktobe, Astana, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Turkestan, Semey.

The best 15 teams advanced to the second stage: Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University («Inclusive» and «Defaults» teams), Almaty Management University  («Analytics» team), Narxoz University («Narxoz Innovators » and «Narxoz-Crypto» teams), Farabi University («Phoenix» and «Innovation» teams), Kazakh Automobile and Road Institute named after L.B.Goncharov («The Money of the Market» team), Zhubanov University («Damu» team), Eurasian National Universiry («Freakonomics» team), Karagandy University named after E. Byketov («Economics» team), Korkyt Ata University («Business sharks» team), Shakarim University Semey («Excellence in Economics» и «Leaders of the XXⅠ century»), Akhmet Yassawi University («Yassawi» team).

The second stage of the RSSO consisted of testing teams and solving applied problems in the core subjects of the educational program “6B04103 - Economics” to determine the winners (I, II, III places) in the main nominations. As a result of summing up the sum of points of completed tasks, the winners were determined.

1st place was taken by the "Phoenix" team of the Farabi University.

2 st place was taken by the teams:

- «Narxoz-Crypto» of the Narxoz University;

- «Innovation» of the Farabi University.

3 st place was taken by the teams:

- «Leaders of the XXⅠ century» of the Shakarim University Semey;

- «Analytics» of the Almaty Management University; 

- «Freakonomics» of the Eurasian National University.

All RSSO participants were awarded certificates for their active participation in the Olympiad. Students who took prizes were awarded diplomas. The leaders of the participating teams were presented with letters of gratitude.
