The Faculty of Oriental Studies honored its graduates

Alumni Day dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the university and the 35th anniversary of the faculty was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Famous scientists and public figures from among the alumni of the Faculty of Oriental Studies were invited to the jubilee event.

With words of greetings and gratitude to the address of the faculty and teachers-mentors made: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the RK to the People's Republic of China Shakhrat Nuryshev, Ambassador of the RK to the Islamic Republic of Iran Ontalap Onalbaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the RK to Mongolia Gabit Koishybaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the RK to the State of Qatar and Bahrain Arman Isagaliev, Director General of the Islamic Food Security Organization Berik Aryn, Nurlan Akkoshkarov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Togzhan Kozhaly, member of the National Commission on Women, Family and Demography under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Public Chamber of the Majilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Serik Narysov, Chairman of the Diplomatic Community of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and others.

The event was attended by famous scientists, teachers who stood at the origins of the formation of oriental studies in our country: Professor Klara Hafizova, Professor Nurjamal Aldabek and others.

The alumni presented memorable gifts to their teachers, as well as monetary rewards to the best students of the faculty.

After the official part of the event the guests of the faculty visited the Museum of Oriental Studies.
