Rector familiarized with the modernization of KazNU stadium

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev visited the overhauled stadium of KazNU campus and familiarized himself with its condition. The head of the university inspected gyms, locker rooms, shower rooms of athletes.

During the renovation works, a soccer field with artificial turf and a running track were equipped. A 3,000-seat grandstand for fans was reconstructed and new lighting fixtures were installed. The renovated stadium makes it possible to hold mass sporting events.

“The territory of the stadium is fully landscaped, all conditions for athletes and soccer fans have been created. The administrative building has been renovated. The showers, changing rooms, and the water drainage system have been tidied up. Today the stadium is considered one of the best and newest in the country. Everything has been done in accordance with modern standards,” the responsible persons of the contracting organization reported to the rector. 

They also voiced a proposal to build a soccer field for students in the future.

In conclusion, the rector gave a positive assessment of the work done on the reconstruction of the stadium. Zhanseit Tuimebaev instructed responsible persons to organize a match among students and teachers in honor of the grand opening of the stadium and the 90th anniversary of KazNU.
