Delegation of KazNU visited Urumqi with a working visit
Delegation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University consisting of vice-rectors, heads of departments and professors paid a working visit to Urumqi city of China.
As part of the business trip, they took part in the Silk Road Health Forum, the Fifth "One Belt, One Road" Academic Summit and the Fifth Shanghai Cooperation Organization Hospital Cooperation Forum.
The event was organized by the Health Commission of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the China Hospital Association, and the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
"This large-scale event has created a top-notch dialog platform bringing together government leadership, academic leadership and international exchanges. It brought together policymakers, outstanding scholars, and industry leaders from around the world. Xinjiang is a place full of legends. Hosting a high-level forum in such a region with deep cultural heritage and strategic location is of unique value. In the future, we will conduct in-depth dialog and prospective studies to jointly find solutions," was how the delegation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University shared their impressions.
During the working trip to China a number of agreements were reached. In particular, a joint clinical simulation center with the second state hospital of Xinjiang will be opened on the basis of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health of KazNU. Within the framework of the memorandum, the second state hospital of Xinjiang will provide the necessary devices and apparatuses. This center, in turn, will contribute to improving the knowledge of teachers and students, training qualified specialists.
A contract was also signed with the Research Center of Medicinal Plants of KazNU and the Chinese Center of Medicinal Plant Products. Under the agreement, specialists from the two centers will exchange experience and jointly conduct scientific research.
