KazNU and Xi'an Jiaotong University will exchange students

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Xi'an Jiaotong University (PRC) signed an agreement on mutual exchange of students.

The signing ceremony of the bilateral agreement took place within the framework of the International Symposium of SCO Universities held in Astana.  The main goal is to improve the level of legal education of the two countries, joint training of qualified specialists and development of legal education. In turn, this will allow students, masters and doctoral students studying on double degree education to freely exchange experience and master the legal system of the two countries.

To date, KazNU maintains cooperation with 57 universities in China. Last year the university opened a branch of Northwestern Polytechnic University (PRC). On March 27 of this year at the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management of KazNU was opened a laboratory for remote sensing technology and application (Sino-Kazakhstan Joint Laboratory for Remote Sensing Technology and Application) together with the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography. It is also worth noting that today 558 Chinese students are studying at KazNU, the Department of Chinese Studies is successfully functioning on the basis of the university.
