The possibility of admission to the residency of graduates of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health of KazNU is being considered

A meeting with graduates, their parents and media representatives was held on the issues of admission of graduates of internship of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University to residency in other medical universities.

 

On this issue the administration of the university explains the following:

This year, Al-Farabi KazNU graduated 14 interns (all trained on a contractual basis) under the programme of 1-year internship under GOOSO 2020.

These students entered in 2018 under GCSE 2017 (5 undergraduate + 2 internships), were transferred to the new GCSE 2020 (5 undergraduate + 1 internship), having mastered all required credits and content of OP "6B10103 General Medicine" under this GCSE.

In June 2024, having successfully completed their studies, they passed an independent assessment of knowledge and skills with an average score of 90 and received certificates of internship completion.

The University issued state certificates of internship with the qualification "doctor", graduates received certificates of specialists in the territorial departments of the Committee of Medical and Pharmaceutical Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Currently, KazNU together with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan is considering the issue of providing graduates of internship of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health with the opportunity to enter residency in other medical universities of the country.
