Scientific ties with Chinese specialists are expanding

Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan-China Trade Association Kanat Beisek and a delegation from the Chinese city of Linyi arrived to Al-Farabi KazNU with a working visit.

 

The visit took place within the framework of the exhibition of industrial goods and services of Linyi, which is held in Almaty. The large-scale event was initiated by the Kazakhstan-China Trade Promotion Association and the administration of the city of Linyi (Shandong Province, PRC).

The city of Linyi, known as the "logistics capital of China", ranks 5th in the PRC in terms of tax revenues from business in Shandong province and is known for its achievements in agriculture, trade, tourism, production of various goods and services, scientific activity.

As part of the exhibition programme, a special campus tour was organised for members of the Chinese delegation to get acquainted with Al-Farabi KazNU.

The guests visited the joint Kazakhstan-China laboratory "Technologies and application of remote sensing" on the basis of KazNU, 10 innovative laboratories of the scientific centre "Sustainable development and rational nature management" and the Laboratory of electrochemical production technologies, exchanged opinions with scientists and got acquainted with the implemented projects.

Chairman of the Kazakh-Chinese Trade Association Kanat Beisek highly appreciated the scientific and educational opportunities of the university and noted the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and science.

Chinese specialists paid special attention to the scientific research conducted in KazNU, and opportunities for participation of students and teachers of the university in international educational programmes and projects. Both sides agreed on further strengthening of scientific ties and implementation of joint projects.
