Bar-Ilan University will accept 20 KazNU students for training

In the framework of strengthening international cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of science and education in the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi held a meeting with the delegation of Bar-Ilan University (Israel). The delegation was headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Zeev Zalevsky. 

 

During the meeting Acting Deputy Chairman of the Board - First Vice-Rector of Al-Farabi KazNU Yerkin Duisenov told the guests about the activities and achievements of the university.

About 4000 foreign students study in KazNU at three levels of education - bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes. KazNU co-operates with 600 foreign universities of the world. Every year students of different faculties undergo training and internships in the walls of foreign universities-partners, including in Israel. Today KazNU has established direct partnership relations with the Holon Institute of Technology and the University of Haifa. Universities exchange students and teachers, implement joint research projects, invite professors to supervise PhD doctoral students and lectures. Academic mobility programmes are carried out between KazNU and universities of Israel.

During the talks, Ze'ev Zalewski, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Bar-Ilan University, spoke about the history of the university and the educational programmes of the faculty. The delegation of Bar-Ilan University expressed interest in developing academic ties and proposed a number of initiatives aimed at joint cooperation on exchange and student training programme.  In the new academic year they are ready to accept 20 students of KazNU for training.

In conclusion, the parties exchanged views and the delegation of Bar-Ilan University proposed to prepare and sign a memorandum of understanding, which will be the basis for further co-operation in various fields of science and education.
