KazNU signed an agreement with a Chinese company

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with representatives of Binlin Electronic Technology.

The delegation included Han Dan, assistant general manager of the company, Chen Zhiyun, assistant secretary of state, Lei Kang, technical engineer, and Sofia Ushurova, professor at Xi'an Jiaotong University.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues of long-term co-operation and signed a bilateral agreement.

Under the agreement, scientists undergo internships and gain experience, cooperate and implement joint scientific projects in IT, space technologies, energy.

At the meeting Zhanseit Tuimebaev introduced the honoured guests to the achievements of the university and noted the systematic establishment of partnerships with Chinese universities.

 ‘In KazNU named after Al-Farabi special attention is paid to science. Today there is an innovative project developed by the scientists of the university.  The work on promotion and commercialisation of scientific projects is currently underway. In the campus of KazNU there are certification centres, institutes and academies of high-tech companies Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Copisa Minolta, Fujitsu, Alcatel, Microsoft, Huawei and others,’ the rector said.

For his part, Han Dan, assistant general manager of Binlin Electronic Technology, familiarised the participants with the company's activities and provided information on the products it manufactures.

 ‘The company was founded in 2014. Our goal is to meet the demand of the population in terms of technology. Not only to realise new scientific projects, but also to improve energy and digital technologies. Since 2018, we have started working closely with Chinese universities. As a result, we have made great progress. I am confident that in the future we can become a reliable partner of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the directions - IT, energy, space technologies and achieve great success,’ Han Dan said.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to work systematically within the framework of the agreement. Also in the future, KazNU and Binlin Electronic Technology agreed to jointly create a scientific centre.
