President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan familiarised himself with the scientific infrastructure of KazNU

President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of Kazakhstan Akylbek Kurishbayev visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The guest of honour got acquainted with the scientific infrastructure of the higher educational institution and the activities of the laboratories operating on the basis of KazNU.

During the visit Akylbek Kurishbayev visited the Kazakh-Chinese joint laboratory ‘Remote Sensing Technology and Applications’, the Centre for Sustainable Development and Environmental Management (CSEM) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals Alley.

The specialists of the centre told about the main directions of work and the main tasks of the scientific centres. Also gave detailed information about the research conducted here by scientists of the university.

At the end of the working visit, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akylbek Kurishbaev gave a positive assessment of research work at the university and wished further creative success in scientific pursuits.
