"It is my duty to know my native language "

On September 5, 2024, within the framework of celebrating  the holiday of languages at the Faculty of Philology of  the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University,  the adviser and the teacher,  Ashirkulov Kanat Bakhtiyaruli  from  the  Department of Turkology and Theory of Language held  a demo  lesson  with the  1st-year students of  "Turkology"  major. The theme of the demo  lesson was "It is my duty to know my native language ". During the lesson, the students were active.  The 1st year students majoring in Turkology read poetry in different languages. They read their poems in Kazakh, Russian, English, Japanese, Korean and  Khakass languages. In order to check the qualifications of the newly arrived mentors, group work and “Who is resourceful” “Guess the meaning of the proverb” quizzes were organized. During the lesson, kuis and songs were performed on the Kazakh dombra. The   teaching staff of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory was present at the lesson.  The lesson ended with a discussion and summing up. The teaching staff gave a positive assessment to the lesson. Wishing the first-year students success in the new academic year, the teacher  noted that raising the status of the native language is in the hands of young people.
