Advisor to the President discussed the message with students of KazNU
Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbayev during his working trip to the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi met with teachers and students of the university. At the meeting, the participants discussed in detail the issues raised by the Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev in his message to the people of Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, Malik Otarbayev explained in detail the content of the message and noted the importance of the role of youth in its implementation. ‘Kasym-Jomart Tokayev's message this year covered nine main directions. The President made various initiatives and approved the plan for the upcoming work. All political reforms put forward by Kasym-Jomart Tokayev will be implemented in the future. The President constantly emphasises that the noblest and most progressive qualities, such as honesty, diligence and justice, must be instilled in the country's youth. If every person is worthy of the title ‘Honest Citizen’, a just society will be established in the country. In this context, the State creates all necessary conditions for quality education. The head of state constantly cares about the future of young people,’ Malik Nurzhanovich said.
In turn, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev emphasised the need to activate youth in the implementation of the message. ‘The future of independent Kazakhstan is the youth. Therefore, the message of the President should be deeply perceived and actively realised by the younger generation. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is a kara shanyrak of science and education. Therefore, students of KazNU should constantly participate in political and public activities,’ the rector said.
Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Kanseit Abdezovich, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism, journalist Kanat Auesbai, Head of the Department of Philosophy Aset Kuranbek and 1st year doctoral student of the Faculty of Law Nazerke Zhumadilova spoke at the meeting and shared their views on the issues voiced in the message.
In his speech, Kanseit Abdezovich said: ‘The message has set us great tasks. It will allow us to solve many problems of the society. The goal, the tasks voiced in the message define not only the new frontiers that are set before the state, but also those that face every labour collective, every enterprise, every educational institution,’ he said.
Aset Kuranbek in his report noted the importance of introducing digital and financial literacy and science into the educational programmes of schools.
In conclusion, Presidential Advisor Malik Otarbayev noted that the proposals voiced at the event will not go unheeded.
