Alumni of the Faculty of Philology who graduated from the university 50 years ago met at Al-Farabi KazNU. The alumni, among whom were well-known state and public figures, familiarised themselves with the activities and new changes at the university.
Galina Gulnar, a graduate of the Faculty of Philology, who graduated from Al-Farabi KazNU in 1974 and started her labour activity in Pavlodar, held various positions and was a deputy of Taraz City Maslikhat for many years. ‘Today we have come from different cities and regions to meet our graduates in our favourite and native university. 50 years ago we graduated from the university, and each of us got a ticket to life. In our student days there were no modern buildings, and today we are happy and proud that our university has turned into a big blooming town. In this educational institution, we received profound knowledge and skills from our professors and teachers and were able to use them in our professions and activities,’ said a graduate of the Faculty of Philology.
During the meeting the alumni shared their memories of their student life and studies, and also met with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Philology of KazNU. The alumni wished the students further success in life and creative inspiration. At the end of the meeting there was a concert organised by the students of the Faculty of Philology.
