Open Day at the Central State Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Within the framework of Sustainable Development Goals №17. Partnership for Sustainable Development
An Open Day was held at the Central State Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, attended by 1st-year students of the "Digital Archive" specialty from the Faculty of History, along with their professors Sabdenova G.E. and Khodzhabay M.A.
The Deputy Director of the Archives, Zhylysbaeva M.G., and the leading archivist, a 1st-year doctoral student from the Faculty of History, Kabdush K.S., conducted an informative tour for the students. During the event, the students received valuable information about the activities of the archives, its history, and the unique documents stored in its collections. Special attention was paid to the documents of Akhmet Baitursynov and other important historical materials.
The students were also shown the process of digitizing documents and the methods of working with damaged documents. They visited the repository and watched a film created based on archival materials.
The event aroused great interest among the students, who actively asked questions and were pleasantly surprised by the richness and diversity of the materials stored in the archives.
