Issues in the field of telecommunications were discussed
A seminar on ‘Information and Communication Sciences’ was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The large-scale event brought together representatives of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Huawei, teaching staff, and young students of the branch of the Northwestern Polytechnic University.
The seminar discussed topical issues of the telecommunications industry development.
The session was opened by Yerulan Sagidolda, Head of the Department of Electronics and Astrophysics, emphasising the importance of the event. ‘Nowadays the means of communication are dynamically developing all over the world. It is impossible to lag behind the times. Therefore, it is important to cooperate with large companies in training specialists in this field, as well as developing communication networks,’ Yerulan Sagidolda said.
During the seminar the participants were given an informative presentation by Huawei on the topic: ‘Global trends of 5G development’. In addition, ITU specialists told the guests about the Union's activities.
Also at the meeting the reports were made by: Kymbat Kopbay on ‘Development of prediction system for node localisation and smart antenna with adaptive beamforming algorithm for wireless sensor networks’, Dana Turlykozhaeva on ‘Automatic modulation classification and gateway placement problem in wireless networks’, Liu Zhicheng on ‘Methods of estimation of electromagnetic impact on humans from radio frequency devices’.
It should be noted that this year a laboratory ‘5G/5.5 G communication technologies’ was opened in the branch of North-West Polytechnic University on the basis of KazNU. The new centre is designed to provide access to new technologies in the field of telecommunications in Kazakhstan.
