On September 22, the Brain Ring intellectual competition was held at the Physics and Technology Faculty of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, dedicated to the construction of nuclear power plants (NPPs) in Kazakhstan. The event brought together young people and students who were active in discussing energy issues, nuclear safety and environmental aspects.
The participants were divided into teams and went through several rounds, including a discussion of the basic concepts of nuclear energy, the history of NPPs in Kazakhstan and the environmental consequences of their construction. At the end of the competition, a free discussion was held, where the teams defended their positions "for" and "against" the construction of NPPs.
The winners received diplomas, and all participants noted the importance of improving their knowledge in the field of nuclear energy.
