KazNU team - winner of the BRICS-2024 Super Cup
Students of the faculties of mechanical-mathematical and information technologies of KazNU took the honourable 3rd place in the competence ‘Digital Production’ in the championship Super Cup BRICS-2024 in Kazan (Russian Federation) and the 1st place among the teams from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The final stage of the international championship Super Cup BRICS+ Future Skills & Tech Challenge took place in Kazan (Russian Federation, Tatarstan) in the International Competence Centre on the basis of the State Autonomous Professional Educational Institution ‘Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communications’ (SAPOU ‘KTC-KTITS’).
The BRICS Super Bowl was attended by over 500 participants and experts from 16 BRICS+ countries including: Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Belarus, China, Colombia, El Salvador, Ghana, India, Iran, China, Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Russia, Philippines, South Africa, Vietnam and Vietnam.
The team of KazNU successfully performed in the competence ‘Digital Production’. It includes professional knowledge and skills in the development, integration, management, automation and robotisation of production, technological and business processes using modern digital systems and technologies, as well as ML - machine learning, IIoT - industrial internet of things, Big Data - big data, AI - artificial intelligence.
The participants of the KazNU team included students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and the Faculty of Information Technologies: Akniyet Shaimardanov, Nurzhan Danenov, Zhasulan Molzhigitov and Alibek Galimov. The team leader is expert Alexander Kim.
According to the results of the BRICS+ Future Skills & Tech Challenge Super Cup, the team took the honourable 3rd place among all BRICS+ countries, as well as the 1st place among the teams from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This achievement is not the first success of the Al-Farabi KazNU team in international competitions on digitalisation of modern industries. In May 2024, our team also won an honourable 3rd place at the BRICS+ Future Skills & Tech Challenge championship, confirming the high level of training and professionalism of the team members.
