The University of Pennsylvania School of Law offered an educational grant

The School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University of the USA awarded five educational grants to students of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi KazNU. This was announced at the meeting of the Dean of the School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University of USA Stephen Barnes with students of the Law Faculty.

 

At the meeting the dean of the Faculty of Law of KazNU Ualikhan Akhatov noted: ‘Today cooperation between the two universities on the programme of higher education and academic mobility is successfully developing. Provision of educational grant of Pennsylvania State University to our university is repeated for the second year. Last year three students of the Faculty of Law received education at the University of Pennsylvania. This is an achievement for us.

In turn, Dean of the School of Law of the University of Pennsylvania Stephen Barnes said: ‘We invite KazNU students to the United States in order to strengthen our co-operation. Third year undergraduate students of the Faculty of Law come to our university to study in the fourth year. They study for three years at KazNU and one year in the USA. As a result they will receive a diploma of KazNU on bachelor's degree and Penn state (Pennsylvania) on master's degree. Tuition is paid by the American side’.

Stephen Barnes also highlighted the key achievements of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and introduced the audience to other educational programmes.
