On 6 October, Kazakhstan held a republican referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant.
Students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University studying abroad did not stay aside and took an active part in the political campaign.
In particular, the young people of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, who are currently studying in Japan and China, made their choice at the referendum polling stations in these countries. This is how they showed their civic position.
According to the Central Election Commission, 10,323 polling stations, including 74 polling stations opened at foreign institutions in 59 countries, were working to vote in the referendum.
