KazNU students - winners of judo tournaments

Student-athletes of Al-Farabi KazNU won prizes in prestigious international competitions, thus confirming the status of the strongest, excellent training and fitness.

Aktau hosted the Asian Open Judo Cup among men and women in memory of coach Turar Zholdybayev. About 200 athletes from Azerbaijan, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan took part in the competition. Ansarbek Gainullin, a 3rd year student of the Law Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, became the Asian judo champion in the 81kg weight category.

International judo tournament of Grand Slam series ended in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The team of Kazakhstan won three bronze medals. Among the winners was a 3rd year student of the Law Faculty of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Abiba Abuzhakynova, who won a bronze medal in the weight category of 48 kg.
