On October 8, 2024, the 2nd year advisor of the specialty "Foreign Philology" Tairova G.A. together with the 2nd year students of the specialty "Foreign Philology" held an event on the topic: "Smoking is bad for health" within the framework of SDG 3 "Good health and well-being" in Dotmitory 17.
The event "Smoking is bad for health" was organized in order to raise students' awareness of the negative effects of smoking and to tell them about a healthy lifestyle. It is important to note that such events contribute not only to informing, but also to creating an active discussion among young people. The goals of the event were to inform students about the dangers of smoking to health, to discuss methods of prevention and quitting smoking, and to create a space for exchanging opinions among students.
Topics such as the impact of smoking on health (physical and psychological aspects), statistical data, the impact of passive smoking on others and preventive measures and programs to quit smoking were discussed. An open discussion took place after the presentation of the material. The students actively asked questions, shared their opinions about smoking and its consequences. In conclusion, the curator summed up the key points of the event, thanked the participants for their active participation.
