Teachers of KazNU took part in the conference in Sharjah
Teachers of the Middle East and South Asia Department of Al-Farabi KazNU within the framework of SDG implementation took part in the II International Conference on Arab Studies in Sharjah.
The Second International Conference ‘Arabic Studies in Europe and Beyond: The Contribution of Orientalists to the Development of the Arabic Language’ was held in Sharjah, UAE.
It was attended by 24 participants from 14 countries representing the world's leading universities and research organisations, including Italy, Poland, Germany, Spain, France, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Austria and Denmark.
The main aim was to exchange experience and direct communication between fellow researchers on an international platform.
Fatima Mammadova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Acting Associate Professor of Middle East and South Asia Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project partnership, made a report ‘Contribution of Arabists to the development of the Arabic language’.
At the end of the conference, Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah and Supreme President of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, personally presented certificates to the conference participants.
